Spectacular Liguria

Liguria is renowned for its stunning beaches and towns and delicious food. It winds around the coast in a narrow band, and has a temperate year-round climate due to the warm waters of the Ligurian Sea, as well as the natural barrier that is created by the mountains, protecting Liguria from the cold northerly winds. Rainfall can be abundant, giving the region a green landscape. The vast majority of the population lives and works in the thin strip of habitable land around the coast, and this is where Liguria’s specialist farmers produce their top-quality olive oil and flowers, which are exported all around Europe.
