Festivals of Naples and Campania

In early summer, at the Lemon Festival at Massa Lubrense, the local crop of these special lemons is celebrated with a delightful festival of food and fun. Here you can sample the classic Caprese salad with lemon, or for a cooling sweet treat, lemon ice cream and lemon granita. This is also the place for a glass of the famous limoncello in its area of origin.

The PizzaFest in Naples takes pride of place on the culinary calendar in September. This world-famous Neapolitan dish stars at PizzaFest, and the visitor can taste pizzas of many types and shapes, as well as other Neapolitan foods. There is a feast for the eyes and ears too, as pizza-makers show off their dough-throwing skills and everyone dances to live music.
