  • About
A cold seafood platter put together from ready-cooked shellfish creates a sensational centrepiece for a summer lunch for family or friends. Below are some favourites that you would definitely find on my table, along with plenty of napkins and bowls of iced water and lemon for cleaning up all the mess.

Crab. A lot of people will tell you that crab are better than lobster, and certainly one of the great things about them is that you can buy them totally pre-prepared and cooked, making it easy to get at the meat. Dressed crabs, where the crabmeat has even been taken out for you and packed back into the body, are also easily available. Whatever you buy, though, always do a quick second check with your fingertips to remove any splinters of shell.
