Charcuterie, meaning any of Europe’s delicious ready-prepared cured meats, pâtés or terrines, particularly those made from pork, can make an easy little starter or be put together to create a fabulous instant meal. For a lesson in delicious simplicity, go to your supermarket or local deli and create a whole meal from all the charcuterie choices now available. Below are some of the things that would be in my basket:
A good thick slice of smoked York ham or any other British ham
A pot of English mustard
