  • About
The basic basket of dessert cooking is your fruit bowl. Bake your fruit to add sweetness or arrange on a fruit platter in the summer months to show off the particularly rich colours and flavours of all the berries and fruits available.

Apples. Make sticky baked apples filled with chopped marzipan and dried fruit.

Bananas. Roast bananas in their skins, open them up and trickle over golden syrup.

Blackcurrants and blueberries. Warm one or both of these berries in their juices with a spoonful of blackcurrant jam and a splash of sloe gin or kirsch to make a berry compote. Pour over a dessert or eat with ice cream.
