It is often thought that white wine in general should be drunk young and cannot match red wines for longevity. That is probably true of the majority of white wines, but there are a fair number that can age magnificently, and in a few cases will keep for even longer than the great majority of reds. Good storage is the key to successful ageing when it comes to white wines, as white wines are usually more sensitive than reds to adverse storage conditions.
