The purpose of keeping a cellar book (the term “cellar book” applies to information about a wine collection - whether this is stored in a book or in software form) is to allow you to see at a glance exactly what is in your collection; where it can be found; and to monitor stock levels. It can also be an opportunity for you to record your personal tasting notes.
