  • About
Swirl the wine around the glass, then allow it to settle. You will see droplets forming on the inside of the glass and then running down back into the wine. Often called “legs”, these are sometimes taken to be a sign of high quality. In fact, they are just a sign of high alcohol - they are formed because of the relative evaporation rates of water and alcohol. A wine with high alcohol is likely to feel “bigger” and richer in the mouth.
