  • About

A blind tasting can be a little bit daunting - you could be faced with perhaps 20 glasses of wine, all almost the same colour. You should be given a sheet of paper with space for you to note down the grape variety, the country and region of origin and the vintage of each wine. You might also be invited to comment on the quality of the wine and perhaps give it a mark. Don’t feel overwhelmed - all you need to do is to take your time with each wine and ask yourself a series of questions that progressively narrow the field of choice. Aim for a definitive conclusion, but if you cannot decide which wine it is, detailed tasting notes will allow you to participate in discussion.
