Off-dry white wines are excellent here, like Riesling from Washington State or the Mosel in Germany, Vouvray and Saumur from France, and clean, exuberant Moscato from Italy. Lighter, fruity reds work well here: Beaujolais, Dolcetto, and less tannic styles of young California Zinfandel or Pinot Noir.
