are small sugar balls that are available in white or a variety of colors. The term “nonpareils” is also used to indicate a kind of candy: chocolate disks dipped in nonpareils on one side. Multicolored nonpareils, chocolate, or multicolored chocolate shot (also called “sprinkles” or “jimmies”), and colored crystal sugar all look fine on cupcakes, a not-so-serious food. A few pinches are all you need.
