Pasta, in all its assorted shapes and sizes, sauced in infinite ways, served hot or cold, is the mainstay of our meals at least twice a week, every week, all year long. Pasta provides the perfect solution for hurried weekday meals: the noodles are done in 10 minutes and the sauce can be as quick as a splash of olive oil and a sprinkling of grated cheese.
Pasta is also a great Monday-to-Friday solution for what to do with yesterday’s roast and leftover cooked vegetables, or cupfuls of last week’s stew, smidgeons of grated cheese, or remnants of condiments.
