During the week, making dinner is less of a hassle if clean-up is kept to a minimum, and one of the ways to save time on washing up is to make dinner in a single pot. This dinner can be a stew, a casserole, or a skillet supper.
The one-pot meal contains the main parts of dinner—the protein, the vegetables, and, on occasion, the starch as well. Just what this one-pot meal is depends on my schedule. If I’m home early enough, I prepare a stew or casserole that requires some initial work but then cooks slowly by itself without needing further attention.
