  • About

In Indonesia, beef is not as often consumed as fish, seafood, and chicken. Since it is a relatively expensive ingredient, it’s usually saved for special occasions to make dishes like Rendang Daging. Even though Muslims make up the majority of Indonesia’s population, pork is eaten widely in Hindu Bali and by non-Muslims of Chinese descent. Babi Kecap and Sate Babi Oma are everyday dishes featuring pork that my family enjoys.
