It’s all in these three words: building, layering and stacking.
Avoid just tipping the salad from your mixing bowl onto your serving dish. When presenting your salad, pick up small handfuls of ingredients and gradually build some height into it, evenly distributing the elements.
If I am making a big platter, I will lay half my dressed salad greens down, scatter half of the ingredients on top and do the same again to get some height. This shows off all the lovely ingredients without hiding them in leaves.
