A day doesn’t go by at the café when we aren’t asked for recipes. We get e-mails begging us for our chowder recipe, our chocolate cake or even asking how we put that fancy swirl on top of the coffees. I love it when customers and MC friends take time out to contact us, and that their little taste of the café has inspired them to recreate our dishes and cook for friends and family.
Cooking should be enjoyed and shared; it doesn’t need to be a chore or a hidden fear. So take a deep breath, reach for a glass of your favourite wine or beer, turn some music on, shove on an apron, warm up the oven and away you go. Don’t over-think everything, don’t tell yourself you can’t get timings right, that you don’t have the correct pan or that you couldn’t get the exact ingredient you wanted.
