The myths that surround this burger are hilarious. I mostly have my mates (mainly chefs and massive pigs) to thank for hyping it up. In 2008, I was named Josephine Pignolet Best Young Chef at the SMH Good Food Guide Awards. The award is a scholarship grant given to encourage chefs to travel and stage (culinary unpaid internship) overseas anywhere that inspires them. I decided to head to New York for eight weeks to wd~50, one of the city’s most celebrated restaurants run by chef and icon, Wylie Dufresne.
