Hygrocybe

Waxcaps are found on lawns and grassland. They are small, brightly coloured mushrooms in shades of red, yellow, green, or white. The caps are normally greasy to slimy and often conical in shape; the gills are waxy to the touch and often bruise blackish when damaged.
