Tucked away on a small square in the 14th arrondissement, Marché Mouton Duvernet is one of the Left Bank’s most charming markets. The fromage-infused air mingling with the aroma of early lunch preparations accompanies the atmosphere in this classic Parisian residential neighborhood. While most of the produce here is imported, you can count on market gardener Eric Credard for locally grown fruits and vegetables. Aside from the occasional organic lemon or other nonnative varieties to diversify the selection, the majority of Credard’s products are grown on his farm. Fresh lettuce, radish, and rhubarb are common sites while doing springtime shopping at Credard’s stand.
