The tiny Place Monge is home to this 5th arrondissement market three days a week. As students rush to early morning classes and the surrounding shops and restaurants slowly open their shutters and set up their sidewalk terrasses, the vendors at Marché Monge are already hard at work. The familiar smells of roast chicken, fresh fish, and aged cheese welcome shoppers as they make their way through the crowded aisles.
