What you eat is important. But when you eat it, and how much, is important too. Natural foods are generally valuable to all of us, but natural eating patterns vary from individual to individual. Try to recognize your own needs and patterns. Never eat when you are already full – try eating slowly, as this gives your stomach more time to signal its satiety before you have had too much. Our bodies have different needs at different times of day and year. Most of us respond to this quite naturally – we tend to eat the bulkier carbohydrate foods we need for warmth and energy during the winter months, turning to lighter foods and salads in hot weather.
