Read the recipe ahead of time to familiarize yourself with it. This eliminates any surprises and lets you understand what is required. Dessert preparation will be more relaxing if you know the sequence of steps.
Don’t try new recipes when you are harried. Attempting anything new requires concentration, and unless you are focused you are setting yourself up for failure. This leads to frustration, which is not what dessert making is supposed to be about. Take your time with a new recipe. After you make something several times, your speed will improve. At first, focus on technique and on executing the recipe properly.
