Pâtisserie is what brought Suzue and I together; it is what drove us to open our first shop in 2004 and it brings joy and happiness to our lives and, we hope, to our customers. Pâtisserie has come a long way since the Roman Empire initially spread early primitive pastry throughout its regions, and now it stretches far and wide with many countries developing their own style. Today, we both still take great pleasure in visiting well-respected pâtissiers-chocolatiers, whether on a day trip to Paris, a weekend in Strasbourg or a family visit to Japan to see and taste and be inspired. As pâtissiers and chocolatiers, we feel that we have a duty to pass on the skills of our craft to the next generation and we take great pride in being able to provide the inspiration to do so.
