Inaugurated in 1987, ‘The Master of Culinary Arts’ (MCA) is held every four years and is seen to be the ultimate accolade awarded in recognition of outstanding craftsmanship in our industry in the UK. Based on the traditions of the ‘Meilleur Ouvrier de France’ (MOF) the MCA was and still is intended to instil the same respect and recognition of craft that exists in France; respectively the very best in culinary skills. To be considered one of the country’s finest craftsmen is an honour and something I can truly say I have dreamed of for a long time.
