I didn’t personally name many of my early pizzas. Their naming involved lots of standing around. You’d come up with a pizza, everyone tasted it, and if it was liked, people threw out names. Ultimately, someone with authority would decide. That was it. Christened.
Ever since my first job, when people find out my last name, I’m just Falco. It’s cool sounding, I guess, and easy to say in the heat of the moment. “Falco, you’re about to burn those fries!”
I have a healthy ego, but I also respond to “Dude,” and wouldn’t name pizzas after myself. In this case, I didn’t. I came up with the pizza, and someone was like, “Why don’t you call it the Millennium Falco?” I’m a Star Wars nerd, so I liked that. I called my dad and grandma and told them a pizza with our name was on the menu. I was proud. The Millennium Falco was a crowd-pleaser from the beginning and many people have told me it’s their favorite pizza.
