Thailand

Bangkok is the world’s most visited city. It’s cosmopolitan with lots of expats. Clearly, Thai food is popular (and you can find regional food from all over Thailand in Bangkok), but there’s also great Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and Indian food—it’s a culinary capital. I first visited as a backpacker in my early twenties and then in 2010 with my wife on our honeymoon, and it’s one of my favorite cities. So, it was exciting to work there.

There are a lot of Italians in Thailand and so lots of Italian-style pizza, everything from Roman thin crust to Neapolitan. There are people making mozzarella and Italians (and Thais for that matter) with mozzarella companies. There’s even Tokyo-style Neapolitan.
