Talk with any Italian-American and they’ll tell you about their family’s meatballs. I’m no different. I grew up in a Sicilian-American family, and I’m going to share my grandma’s recipe for meatballs. It may seem like a standard story, but it’s not. In this case, I waited thirty years to try them.
My grandma Mary was born in Louisiana and grew up in a Sicilian farming community in Highbank, Texas. She married my grandfather at a young age and they moved to nearby Marlin, Texas, where they farmed and operated Tony’s Liquor, named after my grandfather.
