I was once told by a friend in the Andes that the organic farmers are the real caretakers of the Earth. They use less chemicals and look after the Earth’s soil. From that point on I started to eat more organic food whenever I could. It can be expensive and I didn’t always have the option. However, my friend gave me some great advice with regards to this. He said that if I couldn’t afford to eat organic all the time, then I should at least try to eat organic fruit and veg that have thin skins, as these usually don’t contain high amounts of residual pesticides.
