First of all I would like to thank those of you who have been supporting me from the very beginning: the readers of my blog, my instagram followers and you, for buying this book. My friends: I’m thinking of two very special ladies, Vanessa and Giulia. Also Sarka, Pavel, Emiko and so many others. Ex-boss and top friend Miguel for believing I should make my own way in this world and become freelance before I even dared thinking of it. Thank you my English friends for indulging me when I was quizzing you about your pudding habits and other English traditions. (There will be more of that, I must warn you.) To Loes and Krikke for making me a care pack with bread and beef when I was in the final stages of writing this book and racing against time. A special thanks to Stef, my mate from culinary school, who insisted on helping me cook one day a week while I was doing the photography and recipe testing of this book. Those were the best workdays, even if we had to make that pastry over and over again to get it right. Thank you Charlie McSherry from Cherry Pie Lane. Thank you Solomia Zoumaras. Thank you Christine McClellan, my trusty proofreader, the first to read this book while still in its rough state. Thank you to my family, for understanding my absence and silence the past two years, with the knowledge I was just trying to create this book and make it beautiful and perfect.
