Apples: Raw

Pulp: A Practical Guide to Cooking with Fruit

  • About
The number one concern about writing a fruit book is that no one needs the recipes because “you just eat fruit, right?” This may be no truer than for raw apples. They are the perfect food to eat out of hand. So, while yes, you can just eat an apple (though I always cut an apple because biting into it makes me feel like my gums are being pushed back from my teeth and it makes me shiver), there are more things you can do, mostly in the name of flavor combinations. They aren’t complicated or life changing, but hopefully they encourage you to get that apple a day in a new way.
