Producer Profile: Michael + Peter Laing

Michael and Peter Laing are managing members of Mawby winery and the owners of big LITTLE Winery in Suttons Bay, Michigan. Mawby, which specializes in sparkling wines, was the second winery founded in Leelanau County by Larry Mawby in the 1970s. Michael and Peter took up the helm at Mawby and in 2011 started big LITTLE, which focuses on varietal-, vintage-, and location-specific table wines. They are second-generation winemakers who both grow their own fruit and work with the larger grape and wine market to produce diversified product lines for sale at their winery and distributed nationally.
