More often than not, dessert in Spain is simply a beautifully fragrant piece of fruit. There are only a few true desserts, but they are deeply traditional – and usually incredibly sweet.

Coffee in Spain is always freshly made and there are many ways to drink it.
Café con leche A mellow coffee drunk at breakfast. It is made with its own volume of hot milk.
Café solo Black coffee.
Un cortado A demitasse , with room for a little bit of milk.
Café helado This iced coffee is made by pouring hot coffee into a tumbler of ice cubes.
Un blanco y negro A glass of milky iced coffee, heavily scented with cinnamon, and drunk through a straw.
Batido de café A cold coffee milkshake.
Mazagrán Iced coffee with rum.
El carajillo Coffee with brandy.
Un cremàt Brandy or rum flamed with coffee. (Cremàt is the Catalan word for burnt.)
