San Miguel is one of the most popular summer beers in Spain.

Teas are known as infusiones, but hot te con limón is less popular than the many herb teas that are available. Camomile (manzanilla) is the firm favourite. Other popular flavourings are mint (poleomenta), lime (linden) flowers (tila) and lemon verbena (hierba luisa).

Chocolate came from America, but acquired its connection with cinnamon in Spain. Louis XIV’s Spanish bride took to it with her to France as a breakfast drink. Today, there are still traditional bars dedicated to serving chocolate in Seville. It is sold as a powder or in tablet form with thickener added.
