Bordered by the North Sea and the Barents Sea, Norway lies along the western edge of the Scandinavian peninsula and features a backbone of mountains running down its center. With sharp mountain peaks and dramatic fjords penetrating into the country along its western and southern edges, Norway is a popular tourist destination.
The long coastline provides seafood of all kinds and Norways’s lakes and fjords are teeming with fish, especially salmon. Due to the climate, Norwegians regard food as fuel and start the day with a hearty breakfast including coffee, breads, meat and cheese.
