Cocoa has also been known to help in the prevention of blood clotting, which can increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Cocoa is a natural antidepressant and has also been known to reduce stress levels. Neurotransmitters such as serotonin and tryptophan are thought to bring about feelings of wellbeing and have been found to increase with cacao consumption. By naturally increasing cognitive processes, cocoa may also offer some relief from tiredness.
