I remember we were once in the middle of a song, and we needed some more words. Mike is a big hit songwriter, he had a number one song in America at the time this happened. He just said that he could put it together, but that we had written it all, those were our songs, they were great and we were more than capable of finishing it off. Whereas other producers, they’ll change a word, just to get a writing credit. He didn’t impose anything, but he could bring out the best in anyone. So Mike said, you gotta do what you gotta do, call me when you’re done.
