  • About
If the City of London is often referred to as the Square Mile, then Soho must be the Square Half Mile. An island bounded by Regent Street in the west, Oxford Street in the north, Charing Cross Road in the east and by Leicester Square to the south. These busy streets have isolated the area from most of the worst of recent redevelopment, and although there is very little left of pre-Georgian Soho, the overall atmosphere of the place has been preserved as a distinct geographical area with a remarkable continuity in the sort of activities conducted there.
