  • About

Few foods exemplify our culinary ingenuity like bread. Transforming solid, bland, and gritty seeds into aromatic, sometimes fluffy loaves, disks, and rolls suggests aspiration, skill, and inventiveness. Today, almost all culinary cultures embrace bread, even those where bread was not an indigenous element. It is a perfect intermediary for limitless toppings, condiments, and fillings, and bread’s service to the street-food scene is immeasurable. Paired with breads, all types of food can be served on the go, without utensils. Bread hugs a hot dog, wraps taco fillings, and prevents flavorful sauces from dripping onto one’s shirt. The triumphant culinary advance of the burger can in all probability be credited in part to the bun.
