Flora Corbett has lived with her husband and children at Lochbuie in the south of Mull for nearly ten years. Her father-in-law owns the Lochbuie Estate and Flora and her husband Tim now help his father to run it. Flora bought the old post office at the beachside hamlet of Lochbuie - a tiny building a stone’s throw from Laggan beach - and decided to make it a shop, with an honesty box so that she was not tied to being there all the time. Her twins went to primary school in Craignure, some 35 minutes’ drive away along single-track roads, and are now at secondary school in Tobermory, a good hour and a quarter away, so school buses must be met. The honesty-box system gave her more flexibility.
