  • About
Among the dry whites of the lovely Loire Valley, the Pouilly-Fumé of the village of Pouilly-sur-Loire and those of the beautiful hilltop village of Sancerre have now become virtually too fashionable for the hunter of exceptional values. The third village of this upper-Loire trio, Quincy, is less well known, has a considerably larger production than the other two, and is therefore more modest in its prices for some beautifully refreshing, roundly balanced and subtle wines. Those of the famous village of Vouvray may be dry, slightly sweet, very sweet, or sparkling, but they are now generally too fashionable ever to be really inexpensive.
