Holiday Classics and Favorites

The Christmas season is hectic for many people, especially those of us in the foodservice industry. Like me, you probably find yourself wishing for more hours in the day to enable you to take advantage of all the business and still leave a little time to celebrate your own traditions. Although it is a lot of fun getting into the Christmas spirit and preparing all the special treats we haven’t seen since last year, come Christmas Eve, we are usually glad it’s over. Unfortunately, most retailers simply start too early; Christmas decorations go up in the stores before Thanksgiving, and Santa often arrives in the malls before December 1st. I am afraid the day will come soon when parents and children will make a single trip to the lot to choose the Halloween pumpkin and the Christmas tree.
