What do you put in your burgers? A lot of recipes seem to add everything but the kitchen sink.

I sprinkle the burgers with coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper just prior to grilling. That’s it. I like the primal taste of the beef. The fireworks come from the garnishes: lettuce, tomato, onions, condiments—you name it.
