Arunachal Pradesh

The smaller, more remote states that cluster around the foothills of the Himalayas include Arunachal Pradesh which, owing to its easternmost position in this region, is popularly known as ‘the land of the rising sun’. It is situated directly in the shadow of the high snow-clad peaks, and its thick evergreen forests and meandering rivers make beautiful vistas.
