The previous chapters have provided us with a general overview of Christmas feasting in terms of the ideas that shaped it and the days and customs that encouraged such monumental efforts in the kitchen. We have also touched on a number of the traditional dishes associated with aspects of the holiday now largely forgotten: Twelfth Night Cake, Preacher Pie, and Oli-Koecks, to name three.
