Although we are well known for our production of meat, by far the greatest volume and variety of foods are available from the sea. At least 200 separate species of edible fish and shellfish live around our shores.
Our failure to eat fish is only a habit. We are used to the preparation of meat and basically lack knowledge on how to process seafoods.
If you study our eating habits you will come up with an extremely interesting discovery. We eat fish in large quantity from restaurants, and hotels. But if you relate this consumption to the home we should be eating at least three fish meals a week! Why aren’t we?
