“it’s part of my culture to cook”

Nahida’s signature dish, Mbarade, is a reminder of her previous life in Lebanon, where this salad recipe originates.

Nahida is a strong believer in her Druze faith and in the power of healing. She was brought up in the village of Julis, where she lives with her husband Adnan and the youngest of her four daughters. Nahida means ‘healer’ in Arabic and, as a practising naturopath and physiotherapist, she believes wholeheartedly in the holistic approach of keeping body and mind healthy. Nahida runs a naturopathy clinic in her home in Julis, where her clients benefit from her knowledge and experience of healing ailments. Nahida’s healing approach includes using food’s nutritional elements.
