The term ‘baladi’ refers to organically grown vegetables that have been harvested straight from the land. With blemishes and bulges, scars and indentations, there is no doubting the flavour or natural sweetness that comes with the misshapen, yet rather distinctive yield.
Baladi, in Arabic, means ‘my country’ which guarantees the authenticity of produce grown on Galilean soil. In agricultural terms, the crops are grown in a traditional way and not industrially, using rainwater and natural fertilisers to produce organic vegetables with optimal flavour.
