Writing this cookbook was a highly personal venture, yet could never have happened without the behind-the-scenes support of a wonderful range of acquaintances. I know it takes more than an author to create a book, but in this case, it took a multitude. When I stop and think of all the people who made this cookbook happen, I feel giddy with gratitude.

For starters, I would like to thank my husband Kevin for lending essential substance to my quirky visions and lifestyle. This book would not have made the jump from dream to reality without his immense patience, positivity, prudence, and spiritual companionship. He is to be kissed and commended for never questioning my insatiable culinary curiosity and for his unselfish expansion of both taste buds and waistline during all of my copious dinner tastings.
