Swallows are the most popular accompaniment for Nigerian soups, aptly named because they are usually cut up into morsels, dipped in the soup, and swallowed whole. This variation of starchy foods are staple lunch options in a typical Nigerian home. The most popular of them is eba, prepared with dried cassava flour (garri) and hot water.
