  • About
Tuna can be found in all shapes and sizes in oceans across the world. The four species that are most common for consumption are skipjack, albacore, bigeye, yellowfin, and bluefin. The first three tend to find their way into our beloved tins, but yellowfin is often uncertified, and so not recommended.
Skipjack, a predator that swims in large schools of thousands of fish, is found mainly in regions around the equator. Albacore prefers a subtropical climate and eats other shoal fish, including sardines, small mackerel, and anchovies. They can move at speeds of up to 50 miles (80 km) per hour.
